5th Forest Bread Market 2026 — dates, venue and hours

Date and time — Sunday 18/10/2026, 10:00~16:00. This edition runs for one day only.

Venue — Around the Elysian Gangchon Camping Park (688 Bukhangangbyeon-gil, Namsan-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do). Elysian Gangchon's main phone number is 033-260-2000.

Elysian Gangchon held the first Forest Bread Market in 10/2024, and it takes place 2 times a year, in spring and autumn. This is the 5th edition. The official English name on the poster is FOREST BREAD MARKET & PICNIC, and figs, apples, sweet potatoes, persimmons, chestnuts, corn and pumpkins are drawn as bread and dessert characters.

On 1/9, the organizers previewed on Instagram a lineup of new products sold only at the Forest Bread Market, limited editions, a tasting corner, activities and busking. The same day, the KakaoTalk channel posted that detailed information and event news would be shared soon.

Bread and things to enjoy at the Forest Bread Market

The Elysian Gangchon event page introduces the 5th edition as an autumn bread festival where you can find bread, desserts and warm drinks from neighborhood bakeries all in one place.

The recruitment targets written in the seller recruitment notice posted on 26/8 are shown in the table below. For bakeries, sellers are selected so that the product mix is not skewed toward one category, covering items such as salt bread, potato bread, meal bread, traditional Korean bread, cakes, baked sweets, and vegan and rice-flour bread. As a principle, the bread and desserts sold must be products made by the participating businesses themselves.

The main events listed in the notice are busking performances, chairlift rides, a prize draw, an activity zone, a photo zone and a tasting corner.

The list of participating bakeries has not yet been announced as of 14/9/2026. The seller recruitment schedule is applications 26/8~6/9, selection notifications 7/9 and 14/9, and a booth lottery information session on 22/9 (scheduled).

Forest Bread Market advance booking and admission fee (based on the 4th edition)

The admission fee and advance booking schedule for the 5th edition have not yet been announced as of 14/9/2026. For the previous 4th edition (24/5/2026), online admission tickets were sold in advance from 11/5 through 23/5 on the Elysian Gangchon website and the Forest Bread Market Instagram.

Free admission — At the 4th edition, invitation holders, visitors who arrived by suburban train and got off at Baegyang-ri Station, people aged 65 and over, and elementary school students and younger entered free.

Voucher — People who bought a paid admission ticket received one voucher for Arabista (아라비스타) per person (choice of one drink or one bread).

Early sellout — The organizers announced that, depending on safety and operational conditions on the event day, tickets could sell out early and entry could be restricted.

An admission fee has been charged since the 2nd edition (5/2025). The organizers stated that at the first edition crowds arrived early in the morning, causing traffic congestion and an early sellout, and that a booking system and an admission fee (5,000 won for adults) were introduced because of the venue's capacity and safety.

How to get to the Forest Bread Market — Gyeongchun Line Baegyang-ri Station and the resort shuttle bus

Gyeongchun Line (subway) — Get off at Baegyang-ri Station and take the free resort loop shuttle bus into Elysian Gangchon. The shuttle bus is free and runs Baegyang-ri Station → condo building → Baegyang-ri Station. According to the timetable, it takes 2 minutes from Baegyang-ri Station to the condo main gate.

ITX-Cheongchun — Get off at Gapyeong Station or Gangchon Station, take the Gyeongchun Line (subway) to Baegyang-ri Station, then take the shuttle bus.

By car — The address is 688 Bukhangangbyeon-gil, Namsan-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do. Parking information for the 5th edition has not yet been announced as of 14/9/2026.

Forest Bread Market open run — bread sellout times and waiting lines

At the 4th edition (24/5/2026), 25,000 people came in one day. The organizers and participating businesses prepared larger quantities than in previous years, but most products sold out around 2 PM, and some popular booths had long waiting lines from right after the event began (Yonhap News Agency, 24/5/2026).

The 3rd edition (25~26/10/2025), held over 2 days, also drew 31,000 visitors, and most of the bread the businesses had prepared sold out early (Kangwon Ilbo, 26/10/2025).

Ahead of the 2nd edition, the organizers recommended buying in advance, saying that people who bought admission tickets online would receive their wristband and enter right away without lining up (KakaoTalk channel, 22/5/2025).

Past Forest Bread Market records — from the 1st to the 4th edition

Attendance grew from 11,000 at the first edition to 25,000 in one day at the 4th edition. The 3rd edition was the first held over 2 days, and the 4th and 5th editions are one-day events.

3rd edition (autumn 2025) — It promoted the "bread festival you reach by train" (전철 타고 가는 빵 축제) and used eco-friendly cups. A receipt event was held in which visitors with receipts totaling 30,000 won or more received prizes such as an Elysian Gangchon condo accommodation voucher and a glamping pass.

4th edition (spring 2026) — It was held on the resort lawn plaza. A Chuncheon bakery hopping tour (ppangji sullye) map made with the bakery platform Ppangjisullae was released, and a craft flea market, baking activities, a kids' zone, chairlift rides using the ski slope, a camping zone and an indoor lounge operated.
